Ministries asked to brace for impact of escalating Iran-US conflict?

Reports across Indian intelligence and diplomatic channels indicate that the volatile Iran-US conflict is on a definitive trajectory toward intensification. Recognizing the severe global and domestic ramifications, New Delhi has shifted its strategic stance from watchful anticipation to active preparation.

In response to the mounting crisis, the Prime Minister’s Office has issued sweeping directives to all central ministries, ordering an immediate revitalization of contingency frameworks. The primary focus centres on securing India's critical macroeconomic interests and safeguarding its citizens abroad. The Ministry of External Affairs is currently auditing emergency evacuation blueprints for the millions of Indian expatriates residing in the Gulf region. Simultaneously, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas is scrambling to diversify crude oil supply routes to insulate the economy from inevitable energy price shocks and maritime supply chain disruptions. Furthermore, the Finance Ministry is drafting fiscal mitigation strategies to counter potential market volatility and inflationary pressures.
